The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised an alarm over a plot by an All Progressives Congress (APC) legislator, Olamilekan Adeola Solomon (a.k.a Yayi) to contest in Lagos and Ogun States.

Oke Umurhohwo, the Social Media aide to the PDP senatorial candidate in Lagos West, Segun Adewale, said Solomon, who’s rivaling Adewale for the senatorial seat was imposed on the people by APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he married a member of the Tinubu family.

Umurhohwo further accused Tinubu of trying to put Lagos State under his thumb as his wife, Remilekun is a serving senator seeking re-election, meaning two members of the Tinubu family are seeking to occupy 2 out of the 2 senatorial seats in the State.

He said: “There are three senatorial districts in Lagos and Tinubu’s family members are jostling for two of those.

“It is on record that Hon. Adeola married from Tinubu’s family. We are also aware that Tinubu’s wife is the incumbent senator for Lagos Central. Are there no other candidates the APC can come up with. Why must they be from Tinubu’s family?”

Umurhohwo also revealed that Solomon had attempted to contest in both Lagos and Ogun States, although in the latter his candidacy was rejected by party chieftains.
