ABUJA, Nigeria – The All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced the postponement of its National Caucus and National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting, originally scheduled for July 10th and 11th.

The meetings will now be held on July 18th and 19th, according to a statement released on Sunday, July 9, 2023, by APC’s National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.

Omisore cited the recent appointment of President Bola Tinubu, as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, as the reason for the rescheduling.

Tinubu’s new responsibilities have resulted in a shift of his commitments and availability.

“Members of the National Caucus and NEC of the APC are hereby informed that our meetings of July 10th and 11th have been postponed to July 18th and 19th 2023 respectively,” Omisore stated in his announcement.

The National Secretary expressed regret for any inconvenience this date change may cause to members of the National Caucus and NEC, indicating the rescheduling was necessary due to these extenuating circumstances.
