Former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed Arrested By EFCC

Bala Mohammed, the immediate past minister of the federal capital territory, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

According to a source in the anti-graft agency who confirmed his arrest to The Trent, Mohammed was picked at about the same time Reuben Abati, a former presidential spokesperson to President Goodluck Jonathan, was arrested.

The arrests took place on Monday, October 24, 2016 for undisclosed reasons.

This arrest follows a disturbing report concerning another high profile detainee of the EFCC, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.

Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister has slumped in the custody of the EFCC, The Trent can report.

The People’s Democratic Party chieftain was re-arrested by the EFCC on Friday, October 21, 2016 in the premises of the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to sources familiar with the situation, Fani-Kayode slumped in the EFCC detention centre on Saturday and was rushed to a hospital where he was placed on admission.
