‘My battle with prostate cancer’ – Pastor Creflo Dollar (VIDEO)

In a surprise admission, Pastor Creflo Dollar recently opened up about his bout with prostate cancer on the Rickey Smiley Show. According to elev8.com Dollar was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer and amazingly, he is now cancer free.

Dollar said when he was diagnosed with cancer that he felt it was important to laugh and keep in good spirits.  Upon learning he had cancer he told no one but his wife and took to unusual steps to becoming healthy. Dollar locked himself in a room, fasted and prayed for two weeks and did not talk to anyone. When he went back to the doctor there was no sign of cancer in his body.

– Prostate cancer occurs mainly in older men. About 6 cases in 10 are diagnosed in men aged 65 or older, and it is rare before age 40.

– The average age at the time of diagnosis is about 67.

– Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer. About 1 man in 36 will die of prostate cancer.

– Prostate cancer can be a serious disease, but most men diagnosed with prostate cancer do not die from it. In fact, more than 2.5 million men in the United States who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point are still alive today.

Dollar is the founder of World Changers International located in Fulton County, Georgia.
