The remains of four soldiers and two policemen killed during a political violence in Ekeremor town during the conduct of the supplementary election in Bayelsa State have been deposited at an undisclosed morgue in Ughelli and Warri both in Delta state.

The affected officers were said to be among the people felled by the bullets of the suspected thugs allegedly working for the chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Minister of State for Agriculture, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.

While the remains of the felled security officers were moved to an undisclosed hospital, the civilians among them have been buried secretly in unknown places.

“This is to confirm the position of the security operatives that no life was lost in Ekeremor, Nembe and other parts of the state even with the glaring evidences that no election took place in the area”, a source stated.

The Police authority, according to AIT interview monitored in Yenagoa, agreed to investigate the terror unleash on the people of Nembe Bassambiri but denied the reported killings,

Eye witness account revealed that no fewer than seventeen people were killed at separate incidents in Nembe, Famgbe and Ekeremor communities during the violence unleashed by the suspected APC thugs.
