Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has arrived the United States of America, News Express reports.
“It is true. He left Nigeria last night for the USA,” a top source at the PDP Presidential Campaign told the online newspaper on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
The trip, coming barely a month to the 2019 presidential ballot, is a potential political masterstroke as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been claiming that former Vice President Atiku has corruption cases waiting for him in America and would be arrested once he visited the country.
Despite denials by Paul Ibe, a former media aide of the former vice president, The Trent can report that Atiku Abubakar landed at the Dulles Airport in Washington DC this evening.
He was accompanied by the director general of his presidential campaign, Senate President Bukola Saraki and his economic adviser, Mustafa Chike-Obi.
