BREAKING: Former Oyo Governor Ladoja Discharged And Acquitted In N4.7 Billion Fraud Case

Must read

The Federal High Court in Lagos has discharged and acquitted a former Governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, who the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, charged with an alleged fraud of N4.7 billion.

In freeing Chief Ladoja and and his co-accused, Waheed Akanbi, who was Oyo State Commissioner for finance during his administration, Justice Mohammed Idris said the evidence brought before the court by the EFCC was “too low on credible evidence.”

The judge noted that the prosecution was not consistent with the amount of money missing from the sale of the Oyo State Government’s shares.

The court, thereafter, found them not guilty of all the 11 counts.

This is a breaking news. More details will be added later.
