‘General Buhari Is Not The Solution To Nigeria’s Problems’

Must read

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, a governorship aspirant who lost to Nyesom Wike at the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries has poured cold water on claims that former head of state, Muhammadu Buhari is the right individual to steer Nigeria towards development.

Lulu-Briggs made the remarks while hosting members of he Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation in Port Harcourt on Saturday, January 3, 2014, saying the All Progessives Congress (APC) presidential candidate was too old to solve Nigeria’s problem and did not have the energy to tackle the challenges facing the country given the complexity of her economic problems.

He also brought to mind the fact that Buhari ended a democratically elected government thirty one years ago, expressing his bewilderment that he was showing interest in ruling the country through a democratic poll.

He said: “Thirty-one years after, should we still have Buhari as the face of this country? The APC is not sincere with Nigerians. Buhari does not have the energy to tackle the problems of this country. Nigeria is a very complex country.”

He also stated his dissatisfaction at President Goodluck Jonathan’s critics, appealing to Nigerians to criticise constructively directed at nation building.
