LONDON, England — Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Burna Boy thrilled thousands of fans on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, with a show-stopping performance at the England Lionesses’ UEFA Women’s Euros trophy parade, capping off the nation’s celebrations after the team clinched a historic second consecutive European title.

The parade, held at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, followed the Lionesses’ dramatic victory over Spain in Sunday, July 27, 2025’s final, decided by a tense penalty shootout.

Among the highlights of the celebration was a live performance by Burna Boy—reportedly the favourite artiste of England head coach Sarina Wiegman.

The Nigerian superstar delivered a vibrant rendition of his global hit ‘For My Hand’, originally performed with British singer Ed Sheeran, prompting cheers from fans and players.

Wiegman was seen singing along and dancing on stage, adding a personal and joyful touch to the festivities.

“It was surreal seeing Sarina vibing to Burna Boy live,” said one fan in the crowd.

“This is what football and music are all about—bringing people together.”

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy has become one of Africa’s most celebrated musical exports.

His rise to global fame began with his 2013 debut L.I.F.E and soared with albums like African Giant and Twice As Tall, which won the Grammy for Best World Music Album in 2021.

Now 34, Burna Boy has released eight studio albums, with his latest, No Sign of Weakness, hitting global charts earlier this year.
