Chicharito Completes Move To Bundesliga Side

Must read

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has joined Bundesliga team, Bayern Leverkusen from Manchester United. The three-year deal taking the Mexican to Germany is worth a fee in the region of £7.3million.

Chicharito was on the bench on Sunday when Manchester United fell to a 1-2 defeat by Swansea. The 27-year-old spent the major part of last season on loan at Real Madrid but appeared to still not fit into Louis Van Gaal’s philosophy at Manchester United this season.

Speaking to the German club’s official website, Chicharito said:

“I’ve heard a lot about the fantastic stadia in Germany and about the unique fans they have there.

“The Bundesliga is an extremely attack-minded league and it’s particularly enticing for me.

“It’s fantastic that I can now play for a club like Leverkusen, who are obviously known to me from the Champions League.

“Bayer Leverkusen is a big opportunity for me and I can and want to achieve a lot here.”

Chicharito joined Manchester United from Chivas in 2010. He went ahead to score 59 goals in 156 appearances for the Red Devils.
