“A little leaven leavens the whole lump.” Galatians 5:9 NKJV
A little leaven leavens the whole lump is a proverb meaning that a small thing can make a big problem or that just one person can have a bad influence on an entire group.
Brothers and sisters, we need to be careful about the things we permit in our lives, in our children, in our relationships and in other things we do. Little things often have great impact; seemingly insignificant habits grow; what you tolerate today could become intolerable tomorrow. Ecclesiastes 10:1 says that “A few dead flies will make even the best perfume stink. In the same way, a little foolishness can ruin much wisdom and honor.”
Dear, there’s really no little or small thing. Ephesians 4:27 says, “Do not give the devil a foothold. What’s a foothold? It’s a secure position from which further progress may be made! That “small” lie; that “small” soft porn; that “little” bribe; that “small” touch; that “one” hangout; yes, could just be the beginning of greater and worse things to come! That little thing is all Satan really wants. But he won’t get it in Jesus name.
I refuse to give the devil a foothold in my life; Satan, sin and sickness have no place in my life; every door opened previously is hereby shut in the name of Jesus. I am free from every negative influence; from today, I am walking in liberty!
