“So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.” Jonah 2:10 NKJV
Psalm 107:17-20 says, “Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
That’s exactly what happened to Jonah. His stubbornness and disobedience landed him in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights; and while in there, he repented of his wrongdoing and cried out to the Lord for mercy and deliverance; he worshipped God: God heard him and sent His word to the fish, and Jonah was delivered.
Brothers and sisters, there’s nothing that doesn’t respond to the word of God; in heaven, on earth, beneath the earth, everything, both living and dead move in swift obedience to the word of God. If you can release your faith to Him today; if you can cry out to Him for mercy; if you worship Him, He will send His word to whatever is holding you down; maybe it’s sickness in your body, or a financial situation, whatever it is! With just a word from God, you shall be free indeed! Hallelujah!
