Let me tell you what a lot of us do: we act and behave as if we are wiser than God. Let me explain.
God sees something faulty, and you know what He does to it? He replaces what’s it with something better; without fault or much better. And He does same with creation and men! Isn’t that why all men were destroyed in the day of Noah? Isn’t that why Eli and his family were removed from priesthood? Isn’t that why king Saul was rejected? God sees what’s not working; He sees what grieves Him; and He discards it, and gets Himself what will please Him.
But what do we do: we manage; we endure; we tolerate; we allow ourselves to be abused; we try to fix what will never be fixed; we spend, we exert energy, we get others and lots of resources involved in trying to fix what will never be fixed, trying to change what will never be changed, and everything ends up being wasted! We hold on dearly to the first even though it’s killing us slowly, making us displeased, and adding no value to our lives.
Hey! You’ve got to stop being a prisoner of that thing! Listen to me, the first is not always the best! My God! Let me say that again: the first is not always the best! The second is sometimes much better! Don’t hold on until it becomes too late! You know when it’s time to let go; you’ve done the best you could; you’ve given it several chances; you’ve believed long enough: you’ve tried; stop blaming yourself, it’s not your problem, it’s simply faulty and there’s need for a second! Receive wisdom and understanding, in the name of Jesus! Amen.
