Spirit and Life Devotional: There’s Always A Way Out

Must read

Spirit and Life Devotional is a daily publication by Pastor Chinaemerem Ibezim, senior pastor of Able Ministers Chapel, a church based in Calabar, Cross River State.

“And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.” – 2 Kings 6:25 NKJV

There was a great famine in Samaria; not just a famine, it was a great one. Things became so expensive, monies finished, people could no longer afford to buy food, and they started eating their own children! I don’t think that it could have been worse than that.

But do you know, that it took only twenty four hours for things to change! Elisha prophesied that the famine would end in twenty four hours; it was unbelievable, but it did happen.

Now, that means that it didn’t have to get so bad. Elisha was there with them all along but he was never consulted. They had a prophet right there in their midst, but did not think that he could be the solution to their problem. There was a way out, but they didn’t realize it early enough.

I don’t know how bad things are for you right now; financially, maritally, emotionally, educationally, etc. Maybe, you are not doing so well at work, or your business is in crisis; brothers and sisters, there is a way out. God makes a way, even when there seems to be no way. Call on Him today and let Him lead you on what to do. I decree that you are coming out of that unpleasant situation, in the name of Jesus! Amen.
