Comedian and actor, Chris Rock’s ex-wife, Malaak Compton-Rock, has demanded for half of his fortune in a new development in which the couple’s 1996 pre-nuptial agreement has expired.
According to reports by NYT’s PageSix, a copy of Malaak’s divorce papers reveal that she is asking for half of Chris’ net worth, which is estimated at $70 million, to maintain her champagne and caviar lifestyle.
According to the court papers which asserted that Malaak was entitled to receive a pay-out “commensurate with the marital standard of living”. Malaak also said that she gave up career in 1996 to become a full time wife and mother while his career blossomed.
The couple have agreed to have joint custody of their two girls, 13-year-old Lola and 11-year-old Zahra.
