Crystal Palace Shock Chelsea At Stamford Bridge

Must read

Crystal Palace on Saturday spoiled Jose Mourinho and Chelsea’s party at Stamford Bridge.

The game which was Mourinho’s 200th in charge and 100th at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea manager resulted in a defeat for the premier league champions. This is Chelsea’s only second defeat at Stamford Bridge in the two spells of the Portuguese manager.

The two teams went at each other in a balanced first half. Chelsea had quality attempts saved by the Palace keeper but both teams went in at 0-0 at the halftime. The first goal of the game came in the second half through Bakary Sako.

Chelsea equalized through an unusual suspect, Radamel Falcao who connected with a diving header to a cross from Pedro Rodriguez.

Seconds later, Joel Ward got the winner for Crystal Palace after Chelsea showed defensive frailties once again.
