Daily Meditations: Think Before Saying To God

Must read

While praying or when in a place of worship, think twice before you utter anything to God. Because God is not like a man. He has angels at his beck and call to test every word you say and there are demons that are waiting for your words to use in seeking permission to put you through trials.

For instance, after Peter had professed undying love for Yeshu’a (Jesus), The Messiah said to him, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat.”

Remember, there is no such thing as an idle word before God which is why Solomon said, “As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.” – Ecclesiastes 5:1-2.

Sometimes, in their excitement (not meaning harm) some may cajole you to say or pledge things against your will. The thing is that you are in charge of your mouth and as Solomon wrote “Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?” – Ecclesiastes 5:6.
