The ancient city of Daura in Katsina state, witnessed tight security on Friday, October 28, 2016 because of the wedding of Fatima, one of the daughters of President Muhammadu Buhari.
There was heavy deployment of security personnel in and around the residence of the president on Mai’adua road in Daura town.
Security personnel were also deployed in strategic locations to protect lives and property during the wedding.
Amoured Personnel Carrier (APC) was stationed at the junction linking to the residence of the president.
The venue of the wedding, Low Cost Jumu’at Mosque, also witnessed heavy presence of joint security personnel, who surrounded it.
However, worshipers, who trooped to Mosque, had unhindered access to observe their religious obligation.
While that was going on, security personnel were seen patrolling the town to guard against any eventuality.
Meanwhile, the wedding of Ms Fatima Buhari to a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Gimba Yau Kumo, has not gone without controversy Aishatu, one of the Gimba’s wives took to Instagram on Thursday to throw some shade at Ms. Buhari.
Buhari’s daughter is joining the family as the 4th wife and Aishatu, doesn’t appear to pleased with this new member of the family.
The light skinned lady took to her Instagram page to post series of pictures showing off herself with her husband and more comparing herself and Buhari’s daughter in what looks like a ‘shade’.
It is unclear if the senior Mrs. Gimba is alluding to being more beautiful than Ms. Fatima over her lighter complexion or could she be alluding to the fact that she’s more psychedelic than the president’s daughter.
We think this is just pettiness and insecurity on the part of Aishatu Gimba.
