Do Students Really Need To Attend College?

Must read

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hinking whether you should go to college or not? Well, while it might seem a lot of hard work and a ton of expenses, higher education is actually much more than that. So you might as well think twice before saying, “Nah, I’ll just start working somewhere.”

Top 5 reasons why you should attend college:

1. Don’t miss out the fun

In a recent survey mentioned on PaperAp platform, many individuals reported that the best time of their life they’ve spent during college years. Yes, that’s right. Tired of studies and want to quit and start earning? DON’T! Graduation offers you more than just education. It’s a stage of life that no one should miss out.

2. Connection

Getting to know people is always exciting. Friendship has never been closer than in college life. Seeing all the new faces at the freshman convocation still makes me want to readmit myself in college. It’s a great opportunity to make acquaintance with similar minds.

3. Discover the real you

This experience presents the chance to be free, be bold, and be more active. Participate in sports, attend competitions, and learn teamwork. It’s life, as good as it gets. Of course, you can earn money later and become the millionaire from your dreams, but ever thought about what real happiness lies in? Probably in doing what you really want, and not having to worry about how others react; true freedom. Develop your own personality and fathom yourself in an ocean of new experiences, during college years.

4. Be educated to the highest standard

There is a reason why education is considered that important. Get deeper into your studies and learn more professionally compatible skills. Suppose, you have a job interview at Google. Who do you think will have the higher chances of being hired? A guy who has made an android app learning from YouTube, or the guy who has a degree in Software Engineering, being taught by experienced professors at a college? Credentials matter.

5. Financially friendly programs

Did you know that if your parents made $60,000 or less annually, you don’t have to pay for Harvard? Exactly! With the new scholarship and cost-saving initiatives, education is easier to afford than ever.

That being said, there is a controversy regarding the fact. Curious? Well then let’s get to the point. Why dropouts become more successful and should we not get into college for that fact? Though it seems pointless to say this, Karma or destiny has its own course. You can indeed take a path of an entrepreneur and start your own company; it may even be that you’ll become really successful. But, be aware that the chances are that you will fail.

Wrapping it up

Being a college dropout and skipping college education isn’t the same thing. Maybe you already know that some of the most successful people are college dropouts, and so you are planning not to attend college. But wait, ever wondered how many other college dropouts actually ended up being successful? Well, the statistics isn’t as charming as you might have guessed.
