A suicide bomber on Monday, April 20, 2015 had a taste of his poison as he mistakenly detonated his bomb a few meters from an open air mosque in Dogo Tebo area of Potiskum in Yobe State, blowing off his thighs and legs in the process.
The bomber, suspected to be member of Islamist sect, Boko Haram was rushed to the hospital, although his chances of survival were said to be extremely slim.
A local resident, Mukhtar Ubale told AFP: “Three worshippers were hit by shrapnel and sustained mild injuries while the bomber’s thighs and legs were blown off.”
Another resident, Zakari Kabiru enthused thus: “Only his torso was intact but the lower parts of his body were shattered.”
