Ekiti Assembly Makes Move To Probe Fayose’s N10 Billion Supplementary Budget

The Ekiti State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, set up an Ad-hoc Committee to investigate the passage of a N10 billion supplementary budget by some members of the House during the twilight of the administration of the immediate past government of Ayodele Fayose. 

The lawmakers reached the resolution on the investigation during their plenary session, on Tuesday.

Also, Adeniran Alagbada, the speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, and other members of the House have applauded Governor Kayode Fayemi for cancelling the education tax imposed on pupils by the immediate past administration.

Alagbada gave the commendation while contributing to the debate on the effect of the cancellation at the House plenary in Ado-Ekiti.

The speaker described the abrogation of the education tax as a burden taken away from the people and prayed that the Almighty God will continue to abide with the governor towards leading Ekiti to the right path
