#SoundOff: Fashola, His Lies And Buhari’s Failed Ministries

Must read

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen I, Edward Essien, saw Tunde Fashola (minister of darkness) Thursday, June 8, 2016 on Channels TV (other liars were super liar Lai Mohammed, Udo Udoma, and Aisha Mohammed), lying and whining about militants responsible for the poor power situation in Nigeria, I knew at that point that Fashola is an EPIC failure.

Fashola claimed that Nigeria has 26 power plants – 23 are GAS propelled while 3 are HYDRO.

HE LIED!!!

I visited Wikipedia and behold “HE IS BUSTED”

How can a so called “super minister” not know how many power plants Nigeria have?

I decided to put the records straight.

Nigeria has 8 hydro power plants and the Mambila Power Plant, with capacity of 3050 MW, is the last one that was commissioned (WIP) by former President Goodluck Jonathan.Fashola has not added a single MW since coming on board. Fashola said we have 3. Please see the graphic below:

On the gas fired plants, we have 22 and the 23rd is still under construction, the Azura Power Thermal Plant in Benin City with capacity of 450MW. Note, however, that about 5 of these are not operational.

The only coal power plant is in Itobe (Kogi State) with capacity of 1,200 MW (circulating fluidized bed technology) and won’t be completed until 2018. This was also started by former President Goodluck Jonathan early 2015.

The Oji River Thermal Power Plant was a coal-fired power plant. It is no longer operational.

Dear Mr. Babatunde Fashola, it is about time you get to work and stop lying to Nigerians. This is not the scam you ran in Lagos State.

Please “sign the cheques” so that we can get the promised results. 40,000MW was promised yearly and after one year, your government is yet to add 1MW.
