See Who Tompolo Is Believing Will Help Him Come Out Of His Trials

Must read

Embattled Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, has adopted “sure and surely” strategy to break the yoke of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Muhammadu Buhari government, according to sources.

The former Niger Delta warlord has resorted to seeking God to free him from the yoke of the anti-graft agency.

Tompolo, a leading name in the Niger Delta struggle of the 90s and 2000s, went into hiding early January following invitation from the EFCC to answer questions in connection with transactions done with his company with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

The bench warrant issued for his arrest by a federal high court in Lagos, ordered the confiscation of his assets in Warri, the business hub of Delta State.

But for his failure to appear before the court, the police and the anti-graft consequently declared him wanted.

Tompolo has maintained his innocence of the the charges being leveled against him and says that he would only respond to invitations by the EFCC when assured of a fair trial. In one press release, the former Niger Delta warlord claimed he was not in hiding and called on the EFCC to respond to his court order filed against the commission for freezing his accounts illegally.

Tomopolo first dragged the anti-graft agency to court before his travails began.

A source close to Tompolo revealed that the Niger Delta warrior has gone into fasting and prayers, saying he has suddenly realized that it is only God that could rescue him from the jaw of his enemies.

The source, however, failed to tell when the fasting commenced and when it would be concluded, but affirmed “yes, he has gone into prayer and fasting believing that it is only God that rescue him from his enemies”.

Media adviser to the businessman, Paul Bebenimibo, confirmed that his boss had gone into prayer and fasting as God is his only saviour.

“I can confirm to you that Tompolo is presently on fasting and prayers to God so that He will intervene because he knows that He is a God of justice and will fight for him because he is innocent,” he told the press.
