Real Madrid’s midfielder, Sami Khedira, has finally agreed to join the gunners in the January transfer window.

The Germany international is hoping the two clubs can arrange a deal, and favours the Gunners over a move to Chelsea, but Arsenal is yet to agree a fee with Madrid for the 27-year-old midfielder.

Khedira was linked to Manchester United during the early purchase of the season but was turned down as the aggressive mid-fielder remained doubtful of steady ninety minutes shirt for Real Madrid.

Khedira has entered the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and would be able to leave the Spanish giants on a free transfer next summer.

Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is keen to avoid losing Khedira for absolutely nothing in nine months’ time and is prepared to do business by January.

He was initially agreed to the Arsenal move for £11 million during the September window transfer.
