A 16-year-old girl was arrested on a charge of murder after slitting the throat of her 43-year-old boyfriend during a sex game, police in Arizona said.
Now, 18-year-old Jessica Burlew of Glendale, has been sentenced to serve 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

According to the police investigation, Burlew slit the throat of her boyfriend Jason Ash, while they were having sex. Burlew told her mother that she and Ash were playing sex games when he was cut and choked.
Burlew claimed that Ash failed to utter the safe word, which would have stopped the attack. Burlew told police that they often participated in violent acts as part of consensual sex.
After choking Ash, she began to cut his throat with a razor blade in an attempt to get him to say the safe word. After she received no response, she continued to cut him in order to alleviate her stress.
