A woman has been arrested in South Africa for allegedly stabbing a popular local rapper to death.
Nkululeko Habedi, known as Flabba, 38 was brutally stabbed to death in his home in Alexandra, a Johannesburg township.
This was confirmed by the police who revealed they had taken a woman, believed to be Habedi’s girlfriend, in for questioning in relation to the murder.
“At this stage we can confirm that a well known musician was allegedly stabbed to death,” police spokeswoman Lt-Col Katlego Mogale said.
“His girlfriend is in custody and she is expected to appear in court soon.”
Rapper, group member and close friend Siyabonga “Slikour” Metane also confirmed the death, “I just got a call from his family. I will be on my way to his family’s home.”
