Governor Lamido Appoints New Provost For College Of Islamic Studies

NAN – Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 approved the appointment of Dr Mustapha Yusha’u as the new Provost of College of legal and Islamic Studies, Ringim.

Alhaji Ismail Ibrahim, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, stated this in statement issued in Dutse.

According to the statement, the appointment takes effect from Feb., 6.

The statement also stated that Yusha’u’s appointment was made following the expiration of the second tenure of the College’s former Provost, Dr Abbas Abbas, which ended on Jan. 31.

It stated that the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Haruna Wakili had already congratulated the new provost, and said the appointment was based on merit.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yusha’u, a seasoned educationist, was a lecturer at the Department of Arabic Language in the college, before his appointment.
