Governor Uduaghan Swears In 10 Commissioners In Delta State

Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan on Monday, November 10, 2014 swore ten new commissioners into office, urging them to stay committed to the projects and programmes of the state government.
Uduaghan availed that the addition of ten new commissioners was designed to ensure the success of his administration is it entered the final lap. The governor also challenhed the new commissioners to bring fresh ideas to the table.
The commissioners sworn in are: Chief Solomon Igrakpata, Mr. Austine Ayemidejor, Mr. Joel Bisina, Pastor Powel Ojogho, Mr. David Anuku, Mr. David Peters Ekerekosu, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, Mr. Omolobi Newumi, Mr. Matthew Opuoru and Mr. Benjamin Iwezu.

The Governor also inaugurated Elijah Ologe as chairman on the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) while Emmanuel Amgbadugba, Mrs May Inijei and Mr Azikiwe Ako were inaugurated as members.

Olumami Oyibo was also sworn in as chairman the State Local Government Service Commission as Mr. Paul Uwechue, Mrs Catherine Ilolo and Mr. Peter Abugewa were sworn in as members.

Governor Uduaghan further appointed Commissioner for Housing, Chief Paulinus Akpeki as the new Chief of Staff to replace Festus Okubor, who resigned recently in order to further his political ambitions.

The governor had this to say to the new appointees: “I urge all those sworn in today to bring the desirable winning attitude and deep insight to their various assign-ments, as that is the only way to assist government leave a desirable legacy.”
