Governor Abdulaziz Yari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been re-elected in the governorship election held in Zamfara State.
The result which was announced on Monday, April 13, 2015 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Professor Abdullahi Zuru, showed that Governor Yari garnered 716,964 votes to beat his father-in-law Mamuda Shinkafi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 201,938 votes.
Coming a distant third was the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate and National Secretary of the party, Sani Shinkafi who scored 2,385 votes.
