A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted Senator Dino Melaye bail due to his ill health.
Maleye was arrested by the police on after laying siege at his residence for 8 days, during which time electricity and water were cut off from the residence. Malaye eventually surrendered himself to the police and he was taken into custody on allegations of culpable homicide involving a policeman in Kogi State. According to the police, the alleged victim is still hospitalized from the incident.
Upon his arrest, Malaye was admitted to the police clinic and was later taken to the DSS hospital in Abuja
