LOS ANGELES, United States — Jamie Foxx is preparing to become a father for the third time at 58.
The Oscar-winning actor is expecting his first child with his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, 31, nearly three years after surviving a brain bleed and stroke that left him hospitalised.
Foxx confirmed the pregnancy during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, joking about becoming a father again more than three decades after the birth of his eldest daughter.
“I got a baby on the way … still got it!” he told host Jimmy Kimmel.
The actor, who already has two daughters, said he was looking forward to welcoming another child despite the challenges of raising a newborn at his age.

Foxx Jokes About Becoming a Father Again at 58
During the television interview, Foxx discussed the prospect of returning to the responsibilities of raising a young child.
He joked that he would soon be taking children to school again, decades after first becoming a parent.
“I’m about to be back in the drop-off line,” he said.
Foxx acknowledged that his age had prompted him to consider what parenting would involve in the years ahead.
He also recalled a conversation with fellow actor Al Pacino, who welcomed a son, Roman, in 2023 when he was 83.
Foxx said the encounter had helped put his own situation into perspective.
According to ABC News, the actor also calculated how old he would be as his new child grew up.
He joked with Huckstepp about reaching 70 when the child turned 12.
The appearance marked one of Foxx’s more extensive public discussions of the pregnancy since news of the couple’s expected baby emerged earlier in the year.

Pregnancy First Reported in May
The pregnancy was first reported by TMZ on May 12, with sources confirming that Huckstepp was already several months pregnant.
People magazine independently confirmed the news the same day.
The baby will be Huckstepp’s first child and Foxx’s third.
The couple have not publicly disclosed the baby’s sex or an expected delivery date.
Foxx and Huckstepp were first linked romantically in 2022, when she attended the Los Angeles premiere of his Netflix film Day Shift.
Their relationship became public in August 2023 after they were photographed dining together in Malibu.
The couple reportedly separated in January 2025 but resumed their relationship several months later.
They were photographed together again in April 2025 and subsequently made further public appearances.
Huckstepp, a former fitness instructor and model, has largely maintained a private life despite her relationship with the Hollywood star.
In May, she was photographed in Los Angeles with a visible baby bump.

A Third Child After More Than Three Decades of Fatherhood
Foxx became a father for the first time in 1994 when his daughter Corinne Foxx was born.
He was 26 at the time.
Corinne, now 32, is an actress and television personality who has worked alongside her father on several entertainment projects.
Foxx also has a younger daughter, Anelise Bishop, 18, from his previous relationship with Kristin Grannis.
The actor shares Corinne with Connie Kline.
His third child will arrive approximately 32 years after Corinne’s birth.
Foxx has spoken frequently about the importance of his daughters in his life, particularly during his recovery from a serious medical emergency in 2023.
Both played important roles in supporting him during his hospitalisation and rehabilitation.
Actor Reflects on Surviving Brain Bleed and Stroke
Foxx’s latest family news comes after a prolonged recovery from the medical emergency that interrupted his career in April 2023.
The actor became seriously ill while filming the Netflix action comedy Back in Action in Atlanta.
His family initially disclosed that he had suffered a medical complication but did not reveal the precise diagnosis.
Foxx subsequently explained in his 2024 Netflix comedy special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…, that he had experienced a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
The illness required hospital treatment and a lengthy period of rehabilitation.
Foxx said he had limited memories of the early stages of the medical emergency.
He later credited his family, medical professionals, and faith with helping him through his recovery.
During the 2025 BET Awards, where he received the Ultimate Icon Honor, Foxx paid an emotional tribute to his daughters.
He credited them with helping to save his life and protecting him during his illness.
Speaking to Kimmel, Foxx reflected on how his experience had changed his outlook.
“I’m feeling fantastic,” he said.
He acknowledged that he had once been uncertain whether he would return to his previous life and career.
Foxx also said the experience had made him more appreciative of everyday moments and family relationships.
His daughter had even remarked on how frequently he expressed gratitude, he recalled.
Foxx Returns to Work and Family Life
Since recovering, Foxx has resumed acting, television appearances, and live performances.
He reunited with Cameron Diaz in the Netflix film Back in Action, which was released in January 2025.
His stand-up performances have also addressed the medical emergency and his subsequent recovery.
The actor won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical film Ray.
His other major film credits include Collateral, Django Unchained, Dreamgirls, and Baby Driver.
Foxx has also worked as a comedian, singer, television presenter, and producer.
His expanding family comes as he continues his professional activities following the stroke.
For now, Foxx and Huckstepp have not announced further details about the forthcoming birth.
The actor has nevertheless made clear that he is looking forward to becoming a father again, returning to an experience that began more than three decades ago.
