No fewer than 270 prisoners were reportedly set free by some unknown hoodlums who had invaded the Minna Medium Prison yard in Minna, Niger State’s capital in the evening of today, Saturday, December 6, 2014.
The incident reportedly took place at about 4:30pm.
Reports said the assailants had looted the armoury of the prison officials inluding bullet proof vests.
No casualties had been reported yet as details of the incident is still sketchy.
