The chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Mustapha Inuwa, has expressed shock over discovering a whooping sum of 8.5 billion Naira already expended in the month of April alone.
Speaking to newsmen, he said that the discovery was made while the committee was interfacing with the accountant general general.
He said that part of the money had gone to pay the severance packages of both the outgoing governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and his deputy, Nuhu Bajoga, to the tune of 370 and 217 million Naira respectively.
He said he was disheartened especially as pensioners in the state are being owed for years and the outgoing head officials had paid themselves.
He added that available documents showed that Fund Allocation Committee meetings of the state expended such monies adding that we shall keep meeting with more government representatives since we have broken down into sub committees.
