The lecturer walked into class on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 to teach a Mass Communication course. He asked the students to pardon his outfit adding that he was only trying to avoid contracting the Ebola virus.

The Ebola virus epidemic has claimed the lives of over 1,000 in West Africa, and has been declared a global emergency by the World Health Organisation.

Two Nigerians have died in Lagos after contracting the virus from a Liberian, Patrick Sawyer, who died shortly after arriving Nigeria.

Even though cases of Ebola has only been recorded in Lagos, other states of the federation are advised to be cautious and alert to stop the spread of the deadly virus.
