Redemption: Reggae Legend Majek Fashek Checked Into Rehab (PHOTOS)

Solace might have finally come the way of legendary Nigerian Reggae musician, Majekoudunmi Fasheke popularly known as Majek Fashek. The singer who has suffered psychological, health and mental degradation over the years as a result of substance abuse and what some assume to be spiritual problems for a long time now.

Not long ago, a Save Majek fund-raising campaign which was spearheaded by one of Majek’s backup singer in the 90s, Monica Omorodion Swaida was launched. The aim of the campaign was to raise enough funds which will then be used to send the legend to rehab. That campaign has now been called off as Warri billionaire, Ayiri Emami has taken over any bills that will be accrued as a result of the singer’s rehabilitation.

It appears Majek Fashek has now been checked into an Abuja rehabilitation home, Synapse Services, Centre for Psychological Medicine. Here are some recent photos of the legend:
