A 25-year-old man has been arrested for raping a woman and going ahead to steal her underwear so he would add to his large used lingerie collection.
According to police in Kochi Japan, the suspect, identified as Shoya Imada, had a record of breaking into numerous apartments in order to steal women’s used underwear.
He is facing a charge of burglary and rape., according to WWWN.
Police investigation revealed that Imada broke into an apartment and went to the bedroom of the victim where he assaulted and raped her before he escaping with her underwear.
In another incident, Imada is accused of assaulting a 20-year-old woman, who was walking down a street, and subsequently fled with her underwear.
During a raid in his home, the investigative police officers discovered about 600 pairs of women’s underwear.
