Paris Saint Germain captain, Thiago Silva has riled up Manchester United fans after he suggested that his French Ligue  1 side, PSG were a bigger team than the Old Trafford club. The Brazilian defender was speaking about Angel Di Maria’s move from United to PSG after just a season with the Red Devils.

“People now respect PSG as one of the big clubs in Europe. Real Madrid and Barcelona are probably at another level, but after that if you sign for PSG you are probably taking a step up,” Silva said

United fans are already upset that Di Maria is joining PSG for £44.3 million just a year after they bought him for £59 million. Silva’s comments seems to have hurt even more and the Red Devil fans are making  their thoughts known on Twitter:

Di Maria arrived Qatar on Monday, August 3, 2015 for a medical which will signal the completion of his move to the French side.
