A 20 year-old woman, Deasia Watkins, said to be mentally imbalanced has been put in police custody in Ohio, United States of America for allegedly beheading her 3 months old baby girl on kitchen counter.
She was found incompetent of standing trial and was sent to a treatment facility for recuperation.
She was ordered to be evaluated and treated in a behavioral facility. Watkins will be brought back to court in 6 months to reevaluate the decision. According to the police investigation, officers who arrived at the home of Watkins’ aunt, found the girl beheaded on the kitchen counter. The aunt was taking care of the child. Watkins was at the home and appeared to be suffering from mental problems. Police found her in bed and she was covered in blood.
