Olusegun Mimiko, the immediate past governor of Ondo State, is to deliver the keynote address at the maiden Association of Feto-Maternal Specialists of Nigeria AFEMSON, Scientific Conference, in Lagos, on Friday, July 21, 2017.
The former governor, a medical doctor, is to speak on Reducing Maternal and Perinatal Mortality: A Collective Responsibility at the Medical Research Centre Auditorium of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event, to commence by 10 am, will have specialists in Feto-Maternal Medicine from across the country, development partners, Civil Society Organisations operating in the maternal health sector and other health practitioners in attendance.
This is the fourth public lecture the former Ondo governor will be delivering since leaving office in February, 2017.
The first and second were at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC, United States, and The Chatham House in London, while Dr. Mimiko’s third public lecture was delivered at the Scientific Conference of the International College of Surgeons, Nigeria National Section, in Ibadan, Oyo state.
