Ministeral List: We Are Expecting More Criticism – Buhari

The Presidency on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 reacted to the general criticism that has greeted the 21-man list of ministerial nominees which President Muhammadu Buhari had sent to the Senate for screening on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

Following the announcement of the list of nominees, Nigerians thronged social media platforms to condemn the list with many enthusing that the President did not need to spend up to four months to produce a list that had easily predictable names.

According to Punch, when the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu was approached for comments, he said President Buhari was aware of the criticisms and was expecting more criticism.

His words: “We will react to the various criticisms at the appropriate time. We are aware of the criticisms and we expect that more will still follow. We will react to all of them at the same time.”
