Mourinho, Eden Hazard Pick Up Best Premier League Coach And Player Awards

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was voted premier league’s manager of the year after guiding his side to the first premier league title in five years while, forward, Eden Hazard was voted premier league’s player of the year.

The duo was selected from the Barclay’s panel that included a group of former players, journalist and football stakeholders.

Mourinho was chosen from a group of five strong list of candidates which included Ronald Koeman, Gary Monk, Nigel Pearson and Arsene Wenger. It would be recalled that this is the third time the Portuguese would be claiming the award following his 2004-2005 & 2005-2006 success.

Meanwhile, Hazard can now add the Barclay Premier league’s player award to his collection of awards after wining the PFA player of the year awards and the Football Writers Association awards. He beat Sergio Aguero, David De gea, Alexis Sanchez & Harry Kane.

The Belgian scored the goal that sealed the premier league title for his side against Crystal Palace. He has recorded 14 goals and 8 assist this season.

Chelsea face Sunderland this weekend in their final league game of the season.
