Oscar Cingolani, the director of the hypertension program at Johns Hopkins Medicine, shed light on the mechanism behind Tryvio’s effectiveness in an interview with Verywell Health.
According to Dr. Cingolani, Tryvio operates by blocking receptors to endothelin, leading to vasodilation. “That means that the diameter of the small arteries of our body dilates, and therefore, the blood pressure decreases,” he explained.
