Unverified reports on the resignation of M-Net Africa’s Managing Director, Bola Alabi have flooded the Web. Biola Alabi allegedly resigned her appointment from the multinational cable/satellite content company a few days ago.
Although sources state that Biola’s resignation was instigated by an in-house controversy leading to a forceful resignation, others insist that she bowed out willingly.
Regarded as M-Net’s fierce lady, Biola’s outstanding role in the organisation, set her apart as one of the most accomplished and powerful women in African media. She has been at the forefront of the expansion of the Africa Magic channels brand across the continent.
Biola received top honour on Forbe’s listings, attaining the 11th position of Africa’s Most Powerful Women in the Media. She was also honoured as a 2012 young global leader by World Economic Forum. She is celebrated for her vigour and her naturally appealing smart and successful demeanor.
Though she has resigned, Alabi will still coordinate the awards which holds on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
