Former Anambra Governor, Ngige Loses Senatorial Election

Former Governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost his bid to return to the National Assembly as the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial district , losing to Uche Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ekwunife, who beat 14 other contestants was trailed by Victor Umeh, Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who garnered 77, 129 as against Ekwunife’s 101,548. Ngige polled 20,850 votes.
Ngige had on Saturday, March 28, 2015 refused to cast his votes, claiming that the conduct of the elections were not satisfactory.
