Six former Niger Delta militants have obtained first class degrees from the Benson Idahosa University, in Edo State.
The ex-militants were granted amnesty under the presidential amnesty programme and were admitted to the university, according to a statement from the Presidential Amnesty Office.
Owei Lakemfa, media and communications consultant of the amnesty office, said the result, as released by the university, showed that one former militant graduated with a first class degree in mathematics, two in business administration, and three in political science and public administration.
According to Lakemfa, 34 others graduated from the institution with second class upper degrees.
