Darius Ishaku has emerged winner of the Saturday, April 11, 2015 governorship election held in Taraba State, beating Senator Aisha Jumei Al-hasan of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Al-hasan would have been the first elected female governor in Nigeria.
According to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ishaku won 310,805 as against Al-Hasan’s 261,326 votes.
