The season of trekking in Nigeria is not in a hurry to end as another young man, Oladele John Nihi from Kogi State, has commenced his own trek but this time, he is taking a trip down south to President Goodluck Jonathan’s country home of Otuoke in Bayelsa State, to honour the Nigerian leader as the ‘Hero of Democracy.’
Nihi however, is showing the other trekkers how it should be done by giving regular Twitter updates of his progress. And now he even has for company a pretty lady who decided to join him for the trip. Check out the chemistry:

Nihi started from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Monday, April 4, at 6 am and hopes to meet the President in his hometown to celebrate him for sustaining democracy and keeping to his promise of free, fair and transparent elections in the country.
Nihi also set up a trending Twitter hashtag, #TrekForGEJ and promises to update his movements so that followers will know of his progress and keep up with him.
This is a new one in this era of trekking as others before him have been trekking to different places to celebrate the winner of the 2015 presidential election, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
Nihi however is showing his “swag” among the trekkers as he now has for company a pretty lady who decided to join him for the trip, quite a big commitment .
Using his Twitter handle to update his progress, Nihi reported that the lady simply called Gloria, joined him at Abaji, a suburb of Abuja yesterday, and vowed to go with him on the journey.
Apart from the lady, Nihi says he has been receiving great support, money, free food and accommodation by Nigerians as he goes from one village to the other and hopes to get more as he goes along.
