NSCDC Arrests 41 Suspects For Crimes In Edo

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Edo Command, has said no fewer than 41 suspects have been arrested for various crimes in the state in three months.

Aniekan Udoeyop, the NSCDC Commandant, disclosed this in Benin on Friday, October 1, 2021, during an interview with journalists, NAN reports.

He said 21 suspects were arrested for alleged illegal dealing and transportation of petroleum products.

According to him, four suspects were equally arrested for illegally operating Private Guards Company, PGC.

“Also, three suspects were arrested for JAMB examination malpractice, one suspect arrested for falsification of COVID-19 result, and eight suspects for child theft,” he said.

He further disclosed that four suspects were arrested in connection with possession of hard drugs, adding that the suspects have been handed over to the state command of the NDLEA.
