Mudashiru Obasa, the honourable member of the Lagos state House of Representatives, representing Agege Constituency 1 has been elected as the Speaker of the 8th Lagos State Assembly.
He is a four time legislator and was nominated by Mr. Olanrewaju Oshun of Mainland Constituency 2 and the motion was seconded by Mr. Sola Giwa of Lagos Island Constituency 2.
Honurable Obasa, who many believe has the backing of former Governor Bola Tinubu, a leader pf the All Progressives Congress (APC), was elected unopposed.
