In a press release on Friday, February 12, 2021, signed by Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, Police Public Relations Officer, Osun State Command, it was revealed that some unscrupulous elements were planning to embark on unlawful gathering, in solidarity with End SARS protesters on Saturday, February 13, 2021, in some parts of the state.

Olokode advised that this unlawful plan should be jettisoned; and consequently warned that, the Command will not condone any act that will jeopardize the peace and tranquility presently enjoyed in the state.

The Commissioner of Police while appealing to parents and guardians to warn their children or wards to desist from any act that is capable of causing the breach of peace in the state, maintained that gathering of any sort is unlawful and a violation of COVID-19 laws.

He warned that the Command will not tolerate deliberate blocking of roads which will impede free-flow of human and vehicular movements, molestation of innocent members of the public, and destruction of any kind adding that it will be resisted decisively.

The CP assures the good people of the state to go about their lawful business without fear of molestations from any person and groups as adequate security measures have been put in place for maximum security of lives and properties of the citizens.
